     The roaring 20s, the era that many designers and the sense of fashion popped out because they have what they wanted to change especially in mind. Not only did the ones that truly became famous put their ideas into action, but also affected the society of their time. 

     Salvatore Ferragamo started from creating wearable works of art for Hollywood superstars. At that time, people only wore black or brown for their shoes, however, Ferragamo didn't think that should be the case. He designed shoes that were colorful, representing novelty. Nonetheless, the lacks of resources during the first world war made him use humble materials for the soles of the shoes. But nobody knew that this would be the symbol of this shoe brand.

     All in all, his spirit of never giving up is one that we should all learn.

Summary : It gave us very brief talk about history of GUCCI.

Reflection : I think this video is a little bit short. We can only get some brief introduction from it. However, I like the PPT of this week presentation. It gave a lot details of GUCCI's products. For example, why one of their design is made of bamboo. That is really impressive to me. Oh! My favorite part is that the presentator brought his collection bags, maybe sort of. I think having a look to a real bag is much more than thousands of introductions. It is my first time to see a luxury bag. What a special experience to me.

Presentation Summary & Reflection

Guccio Gucci founded his company in Florence and opened his first workshop there in 1921. He changed simple leather satchel bags to luxury luggage. Later, Gucci’s three sons joined him and expanded the company. And Gucci get new change now, the designs are younger and more funcky.

Actually, I don’t understand why Gucci have such a big change which makes new ones are no more like the old ones. The black one with blue and yellow star is really attractive to me, I mean the design, but if it takes thousands dollars I would never buy it. I rather get one at shida night market.
