Sculpture or Fashion ? The Haute Couture of Issey Miyake

Summary：

      The modern fashion started from 1865. Charles Frederick Worth (father of Haute Couture) started put a label with his name into his design. His house is the first boutique to use the live-model to demonstrate the look of design.

Centuries ago, middle and lower class people only owned two or three outfits. Only royalty and high society can spent time and money on getting their Haute Couture, and leading fashion.

      Most fashion brand created two lines : Ready to wear(大量生產相同尺寸的，比較能見人) & Couture (訂製的，較藝術性).

      Italian designer Mariano Fortuny had used the but Miyake take it further. His design look more abstract and like a sculpture. If you wear it , you can feel that it is flexible.

      In the video, it also tell us how to make clothing from 2D to 3D.
