Radio 1: Sculpture or Fashion? The Haute Couture of Issey Miyake
Summary
The modern fashion house started in the 19th century and the Japanese designer Issey Miyake found his own studio (the Miyake Design Studio) in 1970s. Miyake improved the Delphos dress and made the dress looked like sculpture. In Cincinnat Art Museum, a lady introduced the minaret dress to audience which marked with pleating. He pioneered this pleating with polyester fabric, so it is permanently pleated.

Reflection
I have never thought about that a sculpture can be wearable like a outfit. However. Iseey Miyake made it possible. Perhaps let the art items walking in the street is his concept of designing, and if so, it can always be expected a lot.
